Sabriel
After Sabriel figured out that her dad was in danger she ventured to the old kingdom where her dad lived. When she got to the outer walls of the old kingdom she met a general that knew about her father. He told her that her father saved the old kingdom by creating seals that kept all the dead people dead. This is when she realized that if her father dies then the seals would break and the old kingdom would fall. After her papers were checked she was allowed to pass in to the old kingdom.

Sabriel
The new book I started reading was called Sabriel by Garth Niz. This book is about a girl that is a necromancer. So far she has coasted spells and brought things that are dead back to life with ease. Right now she was faced with some kind of monster who was a puppet, and was being controlled by someone else. I think this is her first time facing some kind of evil creature because when it was moving she was frozen with fear.

The Old Man and the Sea
After finishing The Boy and the Samurai I started The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. I was able to finish this book in a matter of days because it was a short story. I thought this story was very pointless because this old man went out to sea to catch a fish. When he hooked a fish he had to real it in for days and the fish pulled his small boat very far away from land. So when he was on his way to land many sharks attacked his boat and he was unable to do any thing about it because he lost his spear and knife. So in the end he fished for the same fish for days and it was eaten by sharks. The reason I thought it was pointless was because he ended up right where he started and he suffered so much to catch the fish.

The Boy and the samurai
Before Saru had no one to look up to in his life; but a samurai started coming to the temple he lived in. Usually Saru hated samurai but this samurai acted in a different way and did not look down on anyone, because of this Saru started to respect him. But the samurai was in a horrible position where he could not see his wife, because she was being help prisoner by the emperor. Saru wanted to help this samurai and so did the priest that owned the temple that Saru stayed at. So they created a plan where a friend of Saru, who lives in the palace, would help the samurai’s wife escape. Then they would run away to a temple very far away.

The boy and the Samurai
The priest at the temple that Saru always went to allowed Saru to live at his temple. Because of this Saru grew up to be a very healthy boy. He was thought how to read and write by the priest and he was also a very athletic boy. Even though things are going very well for Saru, his country was suffering because the emperor of his land lost a war to another emperor. This resulted in putting many more people into poverty, and making the emperor paranoid of his follower.

The Boy and the
My inference about what would happen to Saru in the Boy and the Samurai was wrong. Instead of Saru the person that helped stop the robbers, the robber that got captured was invited to stay in the house. I would really like to know what was going through the heads of the people that owned the inn, because there is no reason to invite a convict that tried to rob them instead of the person that helped you. Also I would like to know how Saru feels right now because if that happened to me I would be angry at the people I helped and I would want revenge on them. But because Saru is living a totally different life than me and was faced with many letdowns I would not be surprised if he let it go.

The boy and the samurai
I think that this book is not very interesting because so far all that the main character has done was begging a lot of people for food. Or explain his experiences of getting food from a priest or inn keeper. But recently he had an experience where he and a bunch of people stopped a robbery. This was the most interesting part of the book and still it was really boring to read about. I think he will end up staying with the people that he helped and become a samurai.

The Boy and the Samurai
The last book I was reading was The Cobra Effect, ended up dropping this book because I did not want to read about the horrible deaths of people by diseases. The new book I chose was The Boy and the Samurai by Erik Christian Haugaard. The beginning of this book is very depressing because is about a young boy because an orphan by loosing his dad in a war and how he lives in these horrible conditions. But he was able to get a cat companion and they are like family. The most memorable moment of the book so far was when he jumped in front of an arrow to save his cats life. This is sort of weird for me because I can’t imagine risking my life for a cat.

The Cobra Event
My older brother recommended this book to me, and because I usually read the book he recommends I decided to try this one out. So I have read this book once for the past two days and I was able to read around forty pages. The main character of this book is named Dr. Alice Austen and she is a Medical Pathologist trying to figure out what caused this disease. I think that this book is very sick and twisted because of the way the author described the deaths of the people. One thing that I am wondering is if she will die by the disease or figure out what caused the deaths.

Glass
The sequel to Crank was Glass I thought that this book was really boring. The reason I thought this was because it was basically the same story as Crank, she was hooked on drugs, she had to find drugs, and take care of a baby. Even though I thought that this book was really bad compared to Crank, I thought the ending to this book was a lot better then the ending to crank. I thought this because it left me thinking about what will happen to Kristina now that she is in jail and will she ever get over her drug addiction. I would not suggest this book to any one because once anyone reads Crank they will be really bored with this book.
Crank
To me the book Crank was very interesting; I thought it was interesting because I have never read a book like it before. The book was about the life of a girl who was addicted to drugs and had alternate personalities. Also she would always try to get drugs and it results in her getting in a lot of trouble with her parents and the cops. Another thing I like was that it was written to have like 30 -50 words on a page so it felt like I was reading really fast. Although the book was very interesting and the format of the book was good, I thought that the ending was very dull, I thought this because all that happened in the end was that she has a baby and it didn’t make me want to read the next book.
