After the boy sells his sheep he starts his journey and ends up in a area of Arabs and Europeans. Here he gets his money stolen so he is no longer able to continue his quest. After this he goes to work for a shop keeper and he sells crystals. Because of his new found job he forgets all about his dream and wants to stay and sell crystals.

The Alchemist
The boy in the Alchemist is confronted by a man that claims to be a king. Then the king offers to help the boy fulfill his destiny, which is to find the treasure in Egypt. At first the boy doesn’t believe him, but then the king tells the boy things about himself that he has never told anyone before. Then the boy offers the king a 10th of his flock of sheep for his help. I am surprised that the boy so willingly jumped at the man’s offer, because even if he told me my secrets I still wouldn’t believe him.

The Alchemist
Another thing that contributed to the idea that the main character does not want his life to be controlled by fate, is when he chose to be a sheep herder instead off a priest. This shows how he doesn’t want to be controlled by fate because his whole life was set up for him to become a priest but he decided to become a sheep herder. He also finds another person that doesn’t like the book that he was reading and I think that they are going to become really good friends.
The Alchemist
After reading more of the alchemist I realized that the main character doesn’t like his life to be controlled by fate. I realized this when the main character went to the fortune teller to tell her about his dream. The fortune teller told him that if he fallowed his dream he would find a great treasure, but he just brushed this idea of because he did not wan to be controlled by his dream. Additionally he is reading a book about how everyone’s life is controlled by fate and decides to switch it for another book.

The Alchemist
After reading Catching Fire I decided to start reading the book The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I decided to read this because many people have suggested it to me and it looked like a really interesting book. At the beginning of the book I could tell that the boy was from a family that was not well off. Also that he was educated because he was able to read books.

Catching Fire
Towards the end of this book many exciting things have happened. One of them was that the Hunger Games have started and Katnis is constantly trying to fight for her life, and the only thing more important then her life is Petas life. But when Katnis was about to die she was rescued from a bunch of people from district 13. This was really surprising because district 13 was said to be destroyed. Another thing that happened was that Peta was captured by the government and taken hostage. Additionally Katnisis whole district was destroyed in a huge explosion.

Catching Fire
I decided to abandon Angels and Demons because there was a book that I wanted to read a lot more then Angels and Demons. This book was Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins and it is the sequel to one of my favorite books called the Hunger Games. The book starts off after Katniss wins the Hunger Games and is in her old district. But Katnis soon finds out that she is not safe and if she does not convince the people of the capital that she really loved Peeta then she would be killed.
